This course is the perfect introduction into the world of Hairdressing offering the first step for any potential Hair Stylist into cutting hair, or ideal for anyone who has an interest in cutting hair within the family. The course will cover the basics from the structure of the hair, preparing the client, shampoo and conditioning, how to consult with your client, selection of equipment, tools and products and to master the first cutting technique; a one-length cut and triangular fringe.
This course is covered over one day and students are required to practice on their training blocks.
It is essential that students provide training blocks (dummy’s) for the practical elements with at least 80% human hair. If possible students should also provide their own cutting equipment. All can be purchased from Salon Xperts.

- Sanitising and hygiene
- Club cutting with comb and cutting scissors

Students successfully completing this course can progress further onto other Hairdressing courses.
Basic Cutting Course
On completion of the course students that pass their assessment will be issued with a certificate which is nationally recognised and insurable by BABTAC (British Association of Beauty & Cosmetology) and The Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists.
